What is Feminism?

"Activist", "Man-hater", "Extremist": these are some of the terms that most people use when talking about feminism. However do they really know what feminism is and what feminism stands for?

Most people think that feminism is believing that women are better than men, when feminism has nothing to do regarding being better or worse, however striving to equal rights. Feminism supports the idea of both genders having same opportunities, political, economic, and social equality. Feminism is spread throughout the World, and with time, it got a negative label since there are many distortions from others. Feminists include any kind of gender, either being transexual, bisexual, pansexual, gay, asexual or straight.

Many celebrities, such as Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus, supports feminism and many times they are rejected from society that are against this concepts. Many antis start rumors about feminists saying that feminists support abortion or are men haters, when naturally they are trying to help other women with no condition to fight against community.

Overall, feminists are a group of people that are trying to end the discrimination between humans from opposite gender and/or that have diverse ideas.
