Famous people also get catcalled, no matter the age. The 14-years-old
actress Rowan Blanchard, from the Disney World serie ‘Girl Meets World’, told People Magazine her first catcalling experience, at the age of 12, in a movie theater.
“We were waiting outside the movies for my dad to pick us up, and this grown man came over and was like, ‘You guys need a ride anywhere?’ I was 12 years old and my friend was 15. And I just remember sitting there feeling my heart sink into my stomach.”
Rowan also told the magazine that she did not tell her parents. She thought it was her fault it happened, because they were both wearing skirts, and kept on thinking “Gosh, I shouldn’t wear a skirt next time. What am I doing?”.
After realizing it wasn’t her fault, the actress decided to help other girls to recognize that sexual harassment and other events are a problem, and to know they are not alone.

The 24-years-old actress, Shoshana Roberts, also wanted to show the world this problem. She decided to record a video showing how this issue works, and it's called “10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman”.
In the video, she walks 10 hours among Manhattan’s streets, wearing jeans and a simple crewneck t-shirt, with the camera hidden in the person’s backpack in front of her. Along the record, we can see that every moment men does comments about her appearance, attempts to initiate a conversation and also some of them start to follow her about several minutes. More than a hundred comments were made, from people of all backgrounds, in 10 hours. People around saw and remained in silence, just as Shoshana.
